We're have space for 12 teams of 3 or 4, £1 entry per person .
We will be holding a raffle as normal so we would ask that each team bring something for it.

Therefore most people will be meeting in the Seafield Arms for the game so see you then.....
25/07/07
7 Legionnaires headed south to the big smoke last weekend for the Loony Alba Boat Trip and a few beers. See the other photos page for the censored version of the weekend. Photos have also been added from a night out held in Edinburgh a few weeks ago.

Sorry due to work commitments the website has not been updated for a while, hopefully things will be back to normal over the next month or so.
12 representatives of the Sporran Legion watched Scotland win away to Austria in Vienna (the biggest Sporran Legion attendance at an away game since the Holland game in 2003). The first of the photos are now on line.
Only one brave sole made the trip north to watch them win over the Faroe Islands , however as his camera never made it back from Vienna there are no photos to record this trip. (However look at the ones from 2002 and imagine the sun shining - doubt it will have changed much!!). Some members headed west to the Sports Cafe and then The Snaffle Bit in Glasgow to watch the game and enjoy a few celebratory drinks, whilst the others made the more sensible choice to stay in the Seafield Arms. From what can be remembered about the night in Glasgow it was a good night!
The next "away trip" for some Sporran Legionnaires is braving the big capital in mid July for the LA boat trip along the Thames with the next "football trip" being Paris in September. The Sporran Legion numbers attending this game are growing by the day and every possible means of transport and route seem to be being used. If you want to travel with us to the game get in touch and we will give you more information on what routes we are using.
There are also 5 booked already to go to Tbilisi in October - two using BA departing Sunday and returning Saturday with the remaining three going via Riga departing Sunday and back on the Friday with a combination of Ryanair, Easyjet and Air Baltic. Another few have said they are going to be looking into the charter options so fingers crossed there will be another good Sporran Legion turnout.
30/04/07
Thank you to everyone who joined in the quiz night on Saturday night, we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

The photos will be on line soon.
20/03/07

Scotland's Euro 2008 qualifier away to Italy on 28 March will be played in the city of Bari, it has been confirmed today.
The crucial match will be in the 58,000 capacity Stadio San Nicola, home of AS Bari, which should ensure a good allocation of tickets for the travelling support. However, at this stage no decision has yet been made on how many tickets will be provided to Scotland, or the price of the tickets.
Bari, in the south east of Italy, could prove a challenging destination for supporters to reach, but at least the announcement brings an end to the frustrating wait for confirmation of a venue.
20/12/06
Two groups of
Legionnaires
have booked so far, one lot going for the lazy route, British Airways via Heathrow to Vienna and the other group going with Air Belin via Stansted & Berlin to Vienna. The
Levante Laudon seems to be the hotel of choice so far.
19/12/06
The Scottish FA can confirm that Scotland will meet Austria in an international friendly to be played in Vienna on Wednesday 30 May 2007.
The match will be used by Walter Smith to overcome the gap between the end of the domestic season and the crucial Euro 2008 qualifier against the Faroe Islands on 6 June.
The manager said: "Several of the players will face a long time without a game before the Faroes game, so this match will be an important part of the build-up to the qualifier."
Austria will host the game in the Gerhard Hanappi Stadium in Vienna. As joint hosts of the tournament, Austria (along with Switzerland) have no competitive matches at present and have a full schedule of friendly internationals.
Scotland last played in Austria as recently as August 2005, when goals from Kenny Miller and Garry O'Connor gave the visitors a two goal lead before the hosts scored twice in the last ten minutes to draw the game.
16/11/06
Despite the football not being the most 'intresting' a great night out was had in Dublin by all,
Following a complaint the the "Who We Are" page has been changed to reflect that we have members from both the Isle of Lewis and the Isle of Harris!!)
Things are going to be a bit quiet for the next few months, the rumours are that there will be a home friendly on the international date in February so no away game till Italy.
The Italian FA have said they MIGHT confirm the venue soon... or they MIGHT just wait for the 60 days limt.
12/11/06
The members heading off to Dublin are off with Ryanair on Tuesday morning and back on Wednesday night. There are still spaces on this flight so if you are wanting to join us book your flights now.
Tickets for the game can be bought at the gate (and you do not get a SSC 'point' for this trip)
03/11/06
The following hotel has been booked for Paris:-

75011 Paris
28/10/06
The France away game has been confirmed as follows:-
Scotland 's Euro 2008 qualifier against France next September will be played at the Parc des Princes in Paris , the French FA announced today.
With the Stade de France unavailable because of the Rugby World Cup, the French have had to choose an alternative venue for the crucial qualifier, which is scheduled for Wednesday, 12 September 2007 .
The Parc des Princes has a capacity of just under 50,000, and demand for tickets is sure to be enormous from the Scotland Supporters Club which now has over 20,000 members, its highest ever level.
It was the national stadium in France for many years until the construction of the Stade de France in St Denis for the 1998 World Cup, but in recent years has been home to the club side Paris St Germain .
A few members had taken a gamble and already booked flights to Paris with Air France - flying out on the Monday evening and returning on the Friday evening. The other members are looking into options for getting there.
We are looking into the options for hotels and further details will be posted when these are known.
22/10/06
Well done to the Airdrionions for winning the quiz last night by such a big margin (however you are banned from the next one to give the rest of us a chance!!!)
Details will be going on here later in the week about how to order the new Sporran Legion T shirt or Fleece.
The rumours are that the Italy game will be held in Rome, no flights are being booked yet but we are starting to look at hotels just to be ahead of the rush. If you are wanting to know where we are booking get in touch.
A few members have booked for the B game against Ireland in Dublin on the 14th November, they are flying out Tuesday morning and back Wednesday evening with Ryanair.
A couple of people have booked on the Heb Bar charter to the Faroes, this is a three night stay flying out of Edinburgh on the Monday and back on the Thursday.

Thanks to every foot soldier in Hampden for making the atmosphere so unique yesterday, if that is the "Hampden Roar" from 52,00 fans we can only imagine what it was like with double that number.
There are 10 members heading off to Ukraine over the next couple of days, and fingers crossed we have a another great result. For those not going the kickoff is at 6.00pm and as normal there will be a few members in the Seafield Arms.
People have reported they are having problems with the contact us buttons, this is being looked into but if they are still not working email Graeme at graeme.mcginty AT tiscali.co.uk using the @ symbol for AT.
