It is worth noting that it was Fiona who tried them first!!

The "Wee" Sporran Legion Flag pre match in the underground bar.

They introduced a booze ban round the stadium but we found a wee underground bar which was having a lock in. The police did come in but did not seem to bother to much (not sure how much the bar owner paid them though!!)

However the bar did run out of glasses so this is Eric's pint of beer - 5 shot glasses full.

Sorry Coggs but that really is the original big flag and it did make it back from France.

There were two days of culture on this trip,on the Thursday a trip to Gori (the birthplace of Stalin) and then a tour round the ancient underground cave city of Uplistsikhe and the Friday an visit to the wine making region of Kakheti. Everyone went on the Thursday trip (fresh air is a good hangover cure!!) but due to flight times it was only Fiona and Graeme who made the Friday one.

The first winery visited was a store in a farmers barn near Mukuzani . The wine was stored underground in 6 foot deep containers and the farmer scooped it out for us in jugs.
The next was a more traditional winery, Tsinandali Winery. This is the wine cellar where they have wine from 1814.

And lastly a visit to Alaverdi Cathedral before heading back to Tbilisi.
